My Multidisciplinary Role in the field
What do I bring to the table as an artist’s Sound manager? Simply put, I execute the process from start to finish, making sure to capture the emotion and character that make each musician unique. That means providing creative guidance, as well as logistical assistance and technical expertise. Just as importantly, I know when to take a step back and let an artist experiment.
My Story
Years of Dedication to Perfecting My Craft
Long before I learned what it takes to be a successful Sound manager, I had a passion for well-produced music. As a kid, I gravitated toward records that made me feel like I was in the room with the artists.
Since officially beginning my career in 1980s, I have strived to produce music with that true, immersive sound. When you are singing on multiple microphones simultaneously, making sure that rhythms and harmonies fall in just the right place, you need to be on top of your game. Running a structured show is hard work, but I love every minute of it.
